| Since the publication of Heinz FR Prechtl in 1997 in The Lancet, the qualitative assessment of spontaneous movements of the fetus, newborn and infant has become one of the most sensitive indicators for diagnosis and prognosis of perinatal developement disorders. In evidence Based Practice, qualitative assessment of GM for newborn before 5 months of life is the most sensitive method for cerebral palsy diagnostic. This tool is also used for the detection of metabolic pathologies (Bruggink, 2009), Autism Spectrum Disorders (Phagava, 2008), Rett syndrome (Einspieler, 2005), cognitive disorders (Bruggink, 2010) and minor neurological disorders (Bruggink, 2008). The GM-Trust is the international organization made up of researchers and clinicians who combine a very high quality teaching in terms of scientific methodology but above all clinical expertise allowing trainees a very interactive learning. At the end of the training, participants are evaluated by a final exam given by the GM-trust team which allows access to the "advanced level" training of the GMA in a second phase. This advanced level allows you to master the tool perfectly. |
